There are a lot of sites out there promising easy money just sitting around at home filling out surveys, maybe 5 a day in your spare time, and raking in the big bucks for this. I was skeptical but since there is so much hype I wondered if it really was possible to make money doing online surveys. Or is this all a big scam?

After taking a look around it seems that there are some survey sites that are indeed legitimate. However, as in all things such as this, you need to tread carefully.

One thing to look for in a survey website is whether or not they offer customer support, testimonials, and sometimes even sample surveys for you to try. Also check into how long they have been in business. I’ve heard some good things about Survey Scout and they have been around for a while.

You want to also see that they company has a professional-appearing website. Why does this matter? Well if they don’t care enough about their site to hire a professional to make it look nice, you are probably not going to find they are very professional in any other aspect of their business.

From scouring a few forums and websites, what it seems like is that yes, you can make money doing online surveys, but you probably need to join more than one company in order to make a lot of it. Evidently, although it’s true you’ll be paid to fill out surveys, you may not be able to get enough work from one site alone. So if you joint 2 or 3 or even 4 sites, you just might be able to make extra money online with paid surveys. It’s worth a try, because even if you aren’t making thousands a month, even a few hundred extra a month would help out with the bills if all you’re having to do is fill out a few surveys per day.
